Olesia Maliar
Product Researcher · UX Researcher
I study user behavior, identify friction and growth opportunities, and turn research into product decisions.

I work across Product Research, CRO, Analytics and UX/CX.
  • Identify where users drop off and why
  • Find barriers in key product journeys
  • Explore growth opportunities across activation, conversion and retention
  • Run end-to-end research: product question → research → insight → hypothesis → experiment
  • Combine quantitative data + qualitative research + product context
  • Turn evidence into clear product recommendations and next steps
Working areas
  • Product & CRO research

I study funnels, customer journeys and conversion-critical scenarios to find drop-off points, friction and growth opportunities.

  • AI-assisted research & analysis

I use Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools for competitive research, synthesis, product architecture analysis and hypothesis generation. I also use AI agents to map user flows, structure evidence and automate tasks.

  • Quantitative research & analytics

I work with funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation and behavioral data to find problems, test hypotheses and evaluate changes.

  • Qualitative & mixed methods research

I conduct interviews, CustDev, usability testing, concept testing and surveys. I combine qualitative and quantitative evidence to understand not only what happens, but why.

  • Experimentation & hypotheses

I create and prioritize product and CRO hypotheses, connect them to evidence and turn them into A/B tests and other validation methods.

  • Journey mapping & ResearchOps

I use CJM, JTBD, user flows and service blueprints to understand complex scenarios. I also build research backlogs, knowledge bases and repeatable team processes.

Research cases
  • Task: reduce the barrier to the first trading action and create a clear path from a beginner experience to more advanced tools.
Research: interviews, trading flow analysis, competitive research, onboarding patterns and cognitive load.
Created: a user growth model inside the trading product, from the first safe action to advanced tools.
Result: defined product principles for Simple and Pro modes with a focus on activation, learning and retention.
  • Task: understand a new product category and its main market mechanics.
Research: end-to-end user flows of 7 competitors, site architecture, paywalls, activation, features and pricing.
Created: a single map of the competitive landscape and user scenarios, including flows, features and pricing.
Artifacts: flow maps, screenshot database, competitor matrix, feature and pricing analysis.
Result: identified market patterns, product gaps and directions for new concepts.
  • Task: understand where users lose purchase intent and why they reach the paywall but do not complete the purchase.
Research: funnel analysis, segmentation, behavioral analysis, UX audit and review of previous A/B tests.
Created: an evidence-based CRO hypothesis system that connects each friction point with a behavior change mechanism and a way to validate it.
Result: turned key barriers into prioritized experiments focused on improving conversion and activation.
  • Task: check whether users can complete key scenarios in the rewards and referral section and identify where they get stuck or drop off.
Research: usability testing with real account tasks, task-based scenarios, navigation analysis, task completion and flow errors.
Created: validated navigation model and user flow based on real user behavior and how people look for key actions.
Result: improved the section structure, step sequence, naming and key transitions before development.
